Kitten Care

6-8 weeks

  • Maternal antibodies are wearing off and your kitten needs to begin vaccinations
  • Feline combination vaccine (includes rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, chlamydia, panleukopenia)
  • Strongid-T dewormer
  • Fecal examination (please bring a small stool sample to each kitten visit)

 

9-12 weeks

  • Initial vaccines are wearing off and need to be boostered
  • Feline combination vaccine (includes rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, chlamydia, panleukopenia)
  • Feline leukemia vaccine
  • Strongid-T dewormer
  • Fecal examination (please bring a small stool sample to each kitten visit)

 

After 12 weeks

  • The kitten’s immune system is maturing to a point where it can respond to vaccines longer than one month
  • This will be the final vaccination visit for the kitten series, provided that this is the 2nd vaccination that includes the leukemia vaccine)
  • Feline combination vaccine (includes rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, chlamydia, panleukopenia)
  • Feline leukemia vaccine
  • Strongid-T dewormer
  • Fecal examination (please bring a small stool sample to each kitten visit)
