Preventative Care

While Affordable Pet Care provides emergency and specialty care, it’s up to you as a pet owner to maintain your pets wellness and health. Here are some important tips on preventative care for your pets.

Annual Exams

Examinations are critical to finding and treating disease early. Pets age 5-7 times faster than we do. We recommend that all pets be examined by a veterinarian at least annually, but ideally every 6 months. This would be similar to you or I going to our doctor about every 3 years.

Grooming

We offer only medically necessary grooming services including basic clipping, shave-downs, toe nail trims, ear plucking and sanitary trimming. For shave-downs and for those pets who need it, we offer sedation for grooming services at an additional charge.

For the health of your pet and the pets of others brought to Affordable Pet Care, all pets brought for grooming are required to be current on vaccinations, and fecal testing for contagious parasites.
